Project: End of term Evaluation for Child Protection and Participation Project

In 2018, E4C conducted End of term Evaluation for Child Protection and Participation Projectin Malawi. The Child Protection and Participation Project was a Plan Sweden-funded Project that was being implemented in Nkhotakota, Karonga and Mulanje districts. The Project was being implemented by Plan International Malawi in partnership with the Livingstonia Synod AIDS Program (LISAP) in Karonga; Ntchisi Network for Youth Development (NOYD) in Nkhotakota; and Network for Youth Development (NOYD) in Mulanje. At the national level, the Project works with TIMVENI Child and Youth Media organisation. The aim of this three and a half year project (2015-2018) was to increase the effectiveness of child protection and participation mechanisms at family, community and government levels. The project was operating to achieve four specific objectives as follows: To strengthen capacities of CSOs on child protection to effectively prevent and respond to child protection issues; To contribute to strengthening and implementation of the legal frameworks for the increased protection of children in the country; Promote inclusive participation of children and youths in their own protection and Increase state accountability on matters related to child protection.
